Dada

As a cultural and anti-art movement, Dada is characterized by absurdism and randomness. Apparently infant language development shares some of these same traits. Esme spoke her first word yesterday, clearly saying 'dada.' Of course her father was miles away at work when it happened. And what about 'mama'? Scholars have debated the origin of the name Dada - and many feel that it's just a nonsense word. I have to agree.

Greta says 'em both, but not being much of a cubist fan, she leans more toward mama.
