Quick update on February/March media consumption. On the big screen Peaky Blinders, The Immortal Man: The best soundtrack on TV carries over to the movie. You have to know and love the series, and we do, but even then I thought there was too much focus on character angst and not enough on the political incident that brings Tommy Shelby back to Birmingham. How to Make a Killing: $5 movie night easy entertainment where the people who you think should die, do. The after-the-fact storytelling framework with a twist at the end was effective. A Private Life: Jodie Foster speaking French. A quiet mystery, following Foster's character as she goes down various rabbit holes hoping to find an answer to a patient's suicide, and ultimately having to deal with the fact that she wasn't a very good psychiatrist. The Secret Agent: An excellent movie that left us feeling horrible and worried that the US today is not dissimilar from 1970's Brazil where people could be "disappeared...
