Addendum

Almost forgot... The Invite: We saw this one with friends in Philadelphia. Clearly an homage to Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. But much, much funnier. Very cool to have a movie today that has only four actors and one set - highly dependent on the script and the quality of the actors. I could see this set as a stage play.

July(ish) media report

Our media consumption was inconsistent in July, with the volume dependent on where we were in any given week.  Our Friends and Neighbors: While staying in Rodman we took advantage of mom and dad's Apple TV, watching the first season of this series together. With some downtown scenes filmed in Rye, including a bar scene at our old favorite and now demolished Town Dock, we enjoyed spotting the places we see and frequent regularly. I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that the class of folks highlighted in this show are not my own friends and neighbors - I've never been invited to a house that has it's own basketball court! Overall entertaining - always fun to think of the rich being unhappy. Ted Lasso : An Apple TV "classic" that's been denied to us until now. Smiled and laughed through season 1 and half way through season 2. Charming, feel-good show with enough coarse language to make it not saccharine. Will pick it up again our next visit :) Hadestown:...
