The faces of Esme Hairdo courtesy of grandpa...

Huffy Face That's what Max calls Esme's expression. He's the usual recipient of her annoyance, and has fine-tuned the art of aggravating his sister. (And vice-versa of course!)

Winter Fun Although it's technically now spring, the kids had an opportunity for some winter fun in the North Country last weekend. We went sledding (fast!) down the iced-over hill, and had a few inches of new snow to play in on the morning we left. Check out Max's dinosaur feet, which had a surprisingly good grip on the ice.

Happy 94th Birthday Great-Grandpa! We traveled to Rodman for Easter weekend to celebrate my grandfather's 94th birthday with an open-house full of family and friends. When we first arrived on Friday evening Max and Esme took turns giving each other rides on great-grandpa's walker. They made the circle loop through his house and down the ramp about 40 times, never actually getting tired of it. And throughout the weekend grandpa would find himself stranded as they took off with his wheels. (BTW, according to Max the dog's name is no longer Sasha, but Balto.)

Cool Kids
I know, I know... It's been forever. I really do have pictures waiting on my camera, but somehow never seem to find time to download them. Life's been busy, the kids are great, what can I say? We had a parent/teacher conference for Max last week which just served to reinforce what we already knew - he's very smart and a terrific kid. If I gave any more detail here I'd be accused of bragging. But for posterity I just want to say - "Maxwell: your Dad and I are very, very proud of you."

Our new Nephew/Cousin Congratulations to Lisa and Tom on the birth of young Keaton Girard on February 26. Here's an early picture of the baby. Young Keaton staged a dramatic entry to the world requiring a last minute c-section, but everyone is now happy and healthy at home. Hopefully he won't continue to give his mom a hard time!
