How Max spends his time on the boat

Thanksgiving Concert

Image
The kids had their Thanksgiving concert last week. All 6 grades performed, plus the 4th and 5th grade chorus which Max participates in.  The singing was terrific, but since I know I can't get a good photo at the event I took this picture of Esme in her concert attire before she headed to school.  She looks so composed and beautiful.

Striper season

The boat comes out of the water next week, so Peter is spending as much time fishing as possible.  A family trip on Friday yielded several striped bass (all too small to keep), sometimes even catching two on the same line!

Exploring with Grandpa

After a family walk through the Rye Nature Center on Thanksgiving, Max and Grandpa returned the next day for some additional explorations.  Grandpa spotted the deer first and Max got as close as he could before they bolted. Pretty close encounter indeed!

What I missed

Image
I spent a week in London in late October, which meant Peter took the kids out fishing.  They took turns jigging up sea bass, including this tasty speciman.  Max said it was the second best fish he's every had (the first best being the bonito he caught on Nantucket in September.) Esme said it would have been a perfect fishing trip if only I had been there to catch a fish too. I'm sorry I missed it!

Happy Halloween
