Great Expectations.

Max awoke this morning at 5:30 am to inform me that 'after this day it won't be a work day and we are going to South Lake'. He's already planning what toys to take with him and told Caroline this morning that he's going to bring candy for everyone. He remembers that during our last visit in October he and Grandpa stopped at the store, bought a few pieces of candy, and crossed the railroad tracks (there were no trains coming, of course, as Max is quick to point out, because it is a track for freight trains only...) So it looks like we have a quick stop to make at Bonnie's store on our way into camp on Saturday in order to meet Max's expectations of the weekend.

Precocious doesn't begin to describe that child.

Have fun at camp... we're envious!
