After a few culture filled days in bustling London we spent a few days in the charming town of Kinsale on the southern coast of Ireland. We visited some old fort ruins, kayaked around the coastline, and had some lovely dinners.

April Media Diet

Originally I was feeling that we really were on a media diet in April. Between our trip to Portugal, another to Sacramento, and a house full of company at the end of the month, there wasn't much time left over for the large or small screen. But now that I'm looking at the actual list it's not that short!  $5 movie night Project Hail Mary: I enjoyed this one more than Rob did I guess. I found it a genuinely charming and funny take on how to deal with an existential crisis. Our protagonist never saw himself as a hero, but at the end of the day he did what he had to do to get the job done. We could all learn something from that.  The Christophers: Squeaked a second movie night in before the month turned on the calendar. Hadn't heard of it before buying tickets, but should have. Ian McKellen is, as you'd expect, marvelous as an aging artist. Michela Coen is an excellent foil - she is so impassive as an observer/listener to McKellen's self-absorbed monologues that ...

We hiked the Seven Hanging Valley's trail along the coast, and then followed the same path in a kayak dipping in and out of various sea caves and resting on a beach only accessible by water. We were not the only ones out on this beautiful day!
