 My father will reconize my-- slightly plagorized-- naming convention.  A couple weeks ago some of my friends and I went to see the Clayton rock show and listen to a local geologist talk about dating adorondak gneiss. When we realized that there is only so long that anyone can talk about grantic gneiss, we piled back into Kaileigh's car and drive until we ended up in Alexandia bay. (Google said there was a castle there.) These are some of the pictures we took :)

While my mom had a work trip in Washington D.C. I tagged along and spent a few days exploring the various Smithsonian museums and institutions. Though I didn't get many good photographs I was told to contribute to the blog. At the risk of losing friendship status with our devoted fans, I've taken it upon myself to issue a comprehensive view of our short trip. Enjoy an iPhone's view of our nation's capital.  The National Gallery. A special exhibit on the origins of Impressionism was informative with some lovely paintings. I prefer landscapes and city views and stray from portraits.  National Museum of Natural History. It's no secret that I am a massive enthusiast of the American Museum of Natural History and consider it the definitive fossil viewing experience. But the National Museum did have some cool specimens I'd never seen before such as this Sinosauropteryx.
